Reading List

A quick look at some of the things I'm reading these days:

Quicksilver, by Neal Stephenson - author of SnowCrash - fascinating novelist!
The Apple Way, by Jeffrey Cruikshank - very insightful look at what works/worked / didn't work at Apple
Future Singapore, by Moh Hon Meng (thanks, Kurt!) - If you're not studying Asia these days, you're missing something big.

I also picked up Pattern Recognition, by William Gibson (the guy who coined the word "cyberspace"). Haven't started it yet, but am looking forward to it!

What's on your list?

I'm now in the middle of reading Galileo's Daughter by Dava Sobel. It's a pretty interesting view into Galileo as a person as well as scientist/philosopher.

By the way, there was just a review on my My Yahoo Books page about G.K. Chesterton that made me think of you. :)

I'm reading "Marley and Me", about the "world's worst dog"... an energetic but lovable yellow lab. Reminds me a lot of my own mostly good dog. Certainly not the most intellectually challenging read, but pretty entertaining.

Aaahhh...I'm reading the last book in a series by a minister I know, Cecil Hook, called "Free to Accept". It has a lot to say about the way we as humans lean toward legalistic tendancies and emphasize form over function and laws (rules) over principles. Great read. Check some of it out here: www.freedomsring.org/fta/
