Bewildering Architecture


This is the first of 4 photo posts on the topic of Bewildering Architecture.

All four are along the same little strip, in between two building near my office. I'm having a tough time understanding why anyone spent the time & money to create these things. I'm sure there was a reason for each...

This building actually has two sets of doors like this - on the second floor, but leading to nowhere (as far as I can tell). The really funny thing is, the building doesn't have a second floor!

Yes, I've got a shot of the cement stairs leading to nowhere (an interesting metaphor, I'd say)... it'll be one of the four posts in this Bewildering Architecture series...

Maj W, you obviously don't have the big picture.

The enemy invades your place of work. You and your brave cohorts are fighting for your lives. You drive them back, corner them (door them?) against the double doors, activate the ejector switch that was pointed out to you earlier ("Please don't touch that, 007"), and ... PLONK! They fall out on their butts. You showed them.

And then won't you be glad those doors are there?

Of course if the building doesn't have a second floor, it's hard to know how they got there, but what do we pay Continuity for?

Oh, and I am counting on you, 007, to check out the inside of these doors. Where the hell are they? I mean, we licensed you to kill so work for your keep already.

Good point, Passante. I'll have to do a little recon mission and see if I can get a photo of the interior of those doors.

Ok, I tried, but I can't get anywhere close to the inside of that door. I'm not even sure how to get there...

There is a 1st story door just below this one, and when you go through it, you're in a regular hallway, with no way to go up a level.

I'm stumped.
